Yvonne Vignes was born 1973 in Hamburg, Germany, currently she's living and working in Arendal, Norway. Previously, she was a dentist, but then followed her childhood dream of being an artist. Today she works as a freelance illustrator and artist. She makes illustrations on commission for both private and professional clients, as well as editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers in Norway and Germany. Currently she is writing and illustrating her first children's book. She draws by hand and colors digitally. Her other preferred materials are markers, gouache and even strong coffee. Her main interest is to work with issues of identity, displacement and memory. Yvonne Vignes is memeber of Grafill - Norwegian organisation for visual communication.
