About The Artwork
Life makes us go round and round, even though we only ever move forward in one direction. This picture was taken on a visit to Jantar Mantar, Jaipur. The Jantar Mantar is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput King, Sawai Jai Singh II (Founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan). In the frame is one of my best friends, admiring the curves of the massive structure. Recently taken with the art of collage making, I was inspired to take a few creative liberties with the photograph. To me, this artwork represents our ever-ongoing internal process, which can manifest in a myriad of ways.
