About The Artwork
Another clearly pictorial artwork which could be made using other mediums like oils but which affirms my will to keep it evanescent and dreamlike but dramatically carnal and obscure. Nudity disappears, becomes invisible like devoured by light and fire and then bursts out violent like the ardor of the gesture, a woman in corset offering her own breasts, eyes looking straight into yours like warning you of a danger behind, in brilliant disguise. A tribute to the past of the Arts, to our human evolution, which repeats itself. A circle of life, alive. The signature appears on the eyes of the figure, like a mask of lace, sort of tribute to "Eyes Wide Shut" by Stanley Kubrick. Another cinematographic citation, actually the first one, like many which are part of my inspirational remembrances.
