born 1971 in Germany, NRW Family from Hong-KongAndr-from Andreas: the manChi-from: the wise, wisdomSing-from: the quietYuen-from: the moneyThe media-artist Andr Chi Sing Yuen put in his artworks different manifestos whose based on philosophy and social, religious and political origins to transform these items in his own asthetic that is founded in his asiatic origin and european and american education. Volumes, contrasts and lightness regrade the colours to architectures, figurations and landscapes. The picture sizes interfuse the real surfaces and extract molecular structures, further cycles and cellular bodies, especially microscopic dimensions in visual, that can be experienced in that actually installation. How the tone can be sound and color, the frontiers of the image sizes and the forms of speech will be transformed to creating collages and photomontages in the technique of the new media. In this manner Andr Chi Sing Yuen follows consequently his way and developes his artistically sphere of activity. The meanings of pictures are changing in this infinitely variable appearance or space of imagination. Differences become blurred like the sciences have the possibilities to put beings together from the most different beings. With this method Yuen will give and create new metaphysical spheres. This is developed out of a process of work. Imaginativeness is built up with language, transformed in pictures and films. The frontier of experience lie between the real and visual and the conceivable and unimaginable.Like a monk in the old china chiseled the values of the society in stone, so Yuen reduced definitions of his asiatic socialization to its marrow to realize his pictures. He has developed his own canon of forms with its associative flows. Yuen composes his works in many steps. He paint, photographs and digitizes these results in the computer, to combine them new and to reach unexpected views. Andr Chi Sing Yuen regards the technique as a contemporary media, to make the traditional ideas of truth, tolerance and a better community transparent. He sees his work in the continuity of painting and photography; he suits the extension of both media.
