Engaging with art for me is like diving into my micro cosmos self and beyond . To my deepest feeling, the world that surrounds us, flowing through the human prism, pours into a deep and vast reservoir of our subconscious, emotions and souls, giving us its unique human interpretation. In the interface zone between the raw world of 'things in themselves' and the known interpretive world, in an alchemical-magical-synergistic process, art happens. Flying cranes that embody for me the spiritual power to make a leap of faith into the unknown often pass through my works. Primordial conch shells, guarding in their womb the secrets of eons, ripple reflections in which reality becomes an ever-changing impressionist vibration, heroes form mythological stories in which I find deep existential psyche truths, making an homage and personal interpretation of masterpieces - Thy all are the main subjects I deal with in my art. To me, using gold paint in my works detaches the subject matter from the realistic context and elevates it to a metaphoric level. It grants a halo of secular holiness to human wonders, hopes and doubts. I paint for many years. In recent years I have been using digital tools in my art. Printing on different materials produces a different appearances with varied qualities, therefore my limited edition works are printed with high quality archival ink on various materials such as photo paper, silver metallic foil, silver metallic rag, plexiglas, wood or canvas . I turn some of them into mixed media works, adding gold paint and gold leaves.
