Terry Genin has worked in both the film and advertising industries and in 1968 went to Hornsey College of Art in north London where he studied fine art. After a long period in teaching Terry has, for the last 15 years, been a freelance consultant for a wide range of art-related subjects, supporting art teachers and giving university work shops. From the inception of digital media he has worked in the field of art and computer generated imagery, gaining his doctorate in 1986. His first paper on computers and Art education was given at the world conference on computers and education in 1985 at Norfolk Virginia. Since receiving his doctorate on 'the perception of visual images' in 1986 he has followed developments in the uses of ICT in art education contributing to the debate more recently as a member of the art and design directions in Information and Communications Technology (addICT) board of council. He has led related workshops for PGCE students, NQTs and teachers continuing with professional development. He has carried out research for QCA. Terry now works producing fine prints using the Giclee process.
