About The Artwork
This piece was inspired by the year 2020 and what a hot mess that was. McDonald's suffered numerous lawsuits over sexual harassment, racist hirings, and broken McFlurry machines. The year also brought us cultural appropriation became a common household word (hence the Mayan queen with unrealistic headdress and lack of garb). I have often used penguins to represent capitalism and patriarchy. What do YOU see in this image?
