About The Artwork

In 1984, weeks before Steve Jobs was set to release the Macintosh-Plus, Artist Tery Fugate-Wilcox was given access to Apple's newest celebration along with their top-secret "Laser Writer" printer. Working alongside Jobs, Fugate-Wilcox and wife ,Valerie Monroe Shakespeare, wrote the programming necessary to translate Fugate's drawings into digital information palatable for the laser-writer printer. Toying with paper, ink, and toner, the results were 130 original images that perfectly marry artistry of the hand and the future of computer artistry. Essentially, these are the first of what we now know of as computer graphics. website: http://terryfugatewilcox.com/
