Art Description

New Media: Wood, Resin, Environmental, Spray Paint, 3D Sculpting on Wood.

Everything that is discarded as waste remains my inspiration. Underpinning this, is my love for Africa, its people and the sustainability of our environment. Through the vehicle of art, I wish to send a message to the world at large that nothing should be overlooked at all, as I believe that magic lies there. In all my works of art I always go to the rubbish heap. It is here I find my gems to complete a magnificent art form.

I wish to draw a parallel here. I feel the same about humanity and hierarchy. Indeed I teach my team that all we consider to be true is actually the opposite. I find that I personally gain more from the beggar in the street or from spending time with the poorest of the poor than I do when frequenting with the wealthy.

I witness how money and greed destroys peoples souls and so it is that I created a landscape of the Dargle mountains in South Africa that would bring forth a new understanding of the beauty we can experience if we look a little closer to the humble stick on the floor.
