About The Artwork

THE OTHER SIDE, 2005 (TinyHongKong Collection) Approx. Size: H23.4 x W33.1 inches (A1) Limited Edition 1 of 33 Visit kenkung.com for details and prices of other options. Art Description: THE OTHER SIDE, 2005 (TinyHongKong Collection) Location: Lantau Island Camera: Nikon FM2 Print on Metallic Gloss Art Paper 260 gram *The artwork was developed from the film more than 10 years ago. We did a lot of procedures including handcraft and AI enhancement to make this work comes true, from a low-resolution photo, and make it paint-liked texture. It’s fun to try and error many times in this experimental process. It may not be perfect, but the imperfection made it Art. Story of the Artwork: I love to capture little but causal visuals, although you can see the collection named Ting Hong Kong Collection, you hardly see the classic scene of city life. Some people feel strange that the topics of my artwork are not usual and familiar, and even “useless” in the commercial world. How can I call it Tiny Hong Kong Collection? But the “Useless” becomes the uniqueness and made it artistic in my art world. This artwork titled THE OTHER SIDE as I took when hiking with buddies in Lantau Island. It’s summertime and really hot in HK, so we normally jump into wild swimming pools sometimes. When I look back at the old days, it seems so far away just like the memories in another life. About memories, I would question if this scene really happened in 2005 or in my other life. The visual impact of this artwork is so dreamy that it could be the history referring to THE OTHER SIDE of my life. And only art and capturing in the form of art, we can record the history and story of culture, and the moments we experienced. That's the story of this artwork. Hope you love my Artwork.
