About The Artwork
The emperor’s crown This new work too has been done using the new media method. The idea came to me when I was visiting a friend who is a drama actor at one of the local theatres. They had been rehearsing since that morning and they had stopped for the lunch break and a rest before taking up again. My friend had taken advantage of this pause to give me a guided tour of the theatre house. It was when we were passing through one of the storage rooms that I noticed this old tinsel crown that they had used in an old children’s play. It appeared as if hiding under that crown the evil emperor was lurking in that dark dusty corner just waiting to pounce upon some unwary person going by. Size of artwork paper: 32,9 x 48,3 cms Image format: 27,8 x 32 cms Method used: New media computer drawing printed with HD pigment based inks.

Born 1954 India Now have my art studio in Angers in France.Have been painting and etching for more than 25 years.My inspiration comes from my working experience with S.W.Hayter and other contemperory artists like Krishna Reddy. Now do mainly digital works like painting and printmaking. For this I have developed a new form of new media prints using digitalized technique and maroufled onto a heavy art paper of at least 300 gms. After the transfer by marouflage of the printed onto the heavy art paper it is once again worked on by the artist to obtain the art effect and printed in a limited edition of 8 prints + 1 artist's proof, with signature and number. The paintings also are digital works on art paper that has been maroufled onto a canvas that is signed by me. All work is done by me in my personal art studio in Angers in France. The work is mostly inspired from my ramblings in the countryside and the sensation or feelings thus produced which I try to share with the spectators of my works.
