Art Description

New Media: Ink, Digital and Pencil on Paper.

I find that tranquility is hard to come by sometimes. The best we can do, often, is bury our head in the sand and hope someone doesn't come by and kick our rear end.

I like the idea that maybe you could find a place even in the middle of the desert plains (or wherever ostriches live) to take a little time for yourself, away from all the pressures in life, and pretend they didn't exist even for a few minutes might make it better.

In all honesty though, ostriches aren't hiding when they put their heads in the sand, they're taking care of their eggs. So, I think those guys have gotten a pretty bad rap. They are facing the pressures of life head on (or down)- head down.
