peacock - Limited Edition 1 of 1 Artwork

My exploration is focused on the way we "perceive" the world. Is there a fixed reality? Living in the Sonora desert for several years, I realized that, even when the surrounding nature looks static, nothing is ever still: air vibrates from the heat, clouds move, sky evolves into a palette of colors. This is the experience I want to share. This particular design came after I realised how a peacok displaying his beautiful feathers "vibrate" My work is made of 2 originals (drawing & painting) similar but with differences in color & shape. Both are then reproduced by giclee with archival inks on a micro-ceramic paper, cut into irregular strips & woven together to produce a "vibration" effect between colors & shapes. The finished artwork is then mounted on acid-free mat board, custom framed with white solid wood frame and protected with non-glare UV glazing. The frame comes complete with wire on the back, ready to hang.
