Oil on Canvas.This painting was made mostly in plein air, transported to the site rolled. My landscape paintings depict a combination of what is there and how I perceive it. This is generally true of all landscape paintings and I think this subject matter is cliched, but at the same time it touches the complex issue of people in relationship to nature. This is one of the paintings where I began looking at ways to give some context to "the view" by showing the human presence in the landscape. In this case it is literally me. This painting will be rolled for shipping. It does not have an adequate margin for stretching, because the composition expanded as I was working on it. On the sides, the painting includes the whole primed area up to the selvedge edges. The painting can be panel-mounted using reversible beva adhesive.
