About The Artwork
This collection is very close to me, using painting techniques to depict the environment in which I live every day. I invite viewers into my world, with its richness of colors, textures, and matter resulting in a variety of shots. In them, I focus on the juiciness of the tone of the paintings, and the enhancement of light through expressive contrasts of color patches. Taking a certain color principle of the paintings introduces concentration, calmness, and harmony of the so-called first impression. The paintings are also characterized by the striking flatness of all the plans, the sharpness of their outlines, and the firm handling of the principle of a strong jump from the further plan to the closer one.

Justyna Maria Porowska was born in Opole, Poland in 1991 and, currently lives in Switzerland. In 2010 she graduated from the Jan Cybis Gymnasium and Secondary Art School in Opole, majoring in scenography. During her school years, she mainly worked with still life and landscapes of her native landscapes. After graduating high school, she decided to major in engineering architecture at the Opole University of Technology and then completed her masters in architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. Her art is characterized by economy of technique, play of texture, issues of light in paintings and realism in depicting mundane subjects.
