About The Artwork

This artwork took part in the MAG Montreux Biennale in 2023. "Rich in gold, but peaceful," Posidonius. This is how the Helvetii of the end of the 2nd century BC were described by the Greek historian. Helvetii (Latin Helvetii) — a large Celtic tribe that inhabited the northwestern part of modern Switzerland. The tribes were engaged in animal husbandry, mined gold, lived in houses on stilts, were able to process metal, spoke their own language, and had their own coins and religion. Houses on stilts made of putty on a golden background- lake- the plot of the third picture. The same houses on stilts from the main picture of the triptych are depicted, only in an enlarged form. Dry pastels were added to the materials. The artist uses a hand-made color only.
