About The Artwork
This was inspired by the Welsh saying that a 'houseful of children was one in each corner and one in the middle'. One child in the middle represented all the others, and the lines suggest the layout of a house. The painting has its own specific frame and is equipped with the means to hang. Part of the suite of Numerical symbolism consisting of 9 paintings on hardboard, except one on canvas. Acrylic base and oil finish.

Born Georgetown, Guyana (then British Guiana), South America 1944. Moved to UK 1955, to Denmark 1968, to Sweden 1971 where now resident. Basically a narrator, inspired by ancient legends, European or now especially of those from my former compatriots in South America.
