About The Artwork

Through painting, I try to talk about a complex, modern world. In 2011, I collaborated with Marina Abramovich as a reperformer during her retrospectives at the Garage Museum in Moscow. It was an unusual experience that made me see and experience reality through the stress of all the physical and emotional resources of my body. This invaluable experience inspired me to create a series of "Trapped in the Woods". After this series, my understanding of painting has changed. Now I create works of painting not only as conceptually distant images, reporting on the fact of the existence of the idea. But the paintings speak about the emotional and sensual experience of the painting process itself as an experience. This work was shown at several solo and group exhibitions: 2018"Criticon, critical painting today", curator Vladimir Beskid, Múzeum Vojtecha Lőfflera Košice, SK 2018 "For reasons that tell you Emil Nolde, is irreversible", Gallery FX, Banska Bystrica, Sl 2018 "Despite / Across", curator Silvia L. Čúzyová, Slovenske Banske Muzeum, Banska Stiavnica, Sk 2014 "Trapped in the woods". Curator Hannes Kuckei, Gallery "Kuckei+Kuckei", Berlin, DE 2013 "Trapped in the woods". Curator Sergey Popov, Gallery "Pop/Off/Art", Moscow, RU
