About The Artwork
Part of the suite of 9 paintings called Numerical Symbolism exploring all the aspects of why numbers are given certain significances. Here the number 666 is shown. According to Pythagoras, even numbers are 'feminine' and 'weak'. How should one then interpret this number which is said to represent the Devil? In this case Arabic numbers have been used to form the four fields of reds in various forms. Hardboard base with acrylic ground and oil finish. Means to hang the painting are on the back.

Basically a narrator, inspired by ancient legends, European or now especially of those from my former compatriots in South America.
