"8" Painting

Cheryl Eggleston is a visual artist based in South Florida, USA. She is a Geometric Surrealist painter whose latest works are best known for incorporating visual texture through hand-carved plates printed directly onto the canvas. Her practice emphasizes hard-edge compositions and a restrained color palette dominated by blues, browns, grays and yellows.
Eggleston’s paintings often feature architectural forms—most notably yellow structures punctuated by black, empty windows—set within blue skies, mountains, and barren plains. Repeating geometric motifs, including textured, or thinly outlined squares, further reinforce a sense of rhythm, structure, and quiet tension throughout her work.
