About The Artwork
Nakhwa is a traditional Korean fireworks display in which dried mugwort, charcoal powder, and salt are rolled in Korean paper to make a Nakhwa stick, then hung on the riverside and lit. The charcoal powder burns and flutters in the wind, which is very beautiful. First, apply the modeling paste to the canvas, let it dry, then grind the fluttering shape of the fallen painting with a stone, mix it with the modeling paste, and then spread it evenly on the canvas according to its shape and feel. And, using the impasto technique, the paint was layered thickly and the vivid fall flowers, which were applied with rough brush strokes and a knife, were expressed roughly and powerfully. Although it is a figurative painting, it is also intended to be an abstract painting-like image, and my passionate energy and energy are expressed strongly in the work so that the audience can feel it.

My art style reflect the various inside and emotion of human from the people's common life and Expressing the various human emotions felt while watching 'Nakhwa', an old traditional fireworks display in Korea, through light and color. My art follow the expressionism from the strong and tough stroke with a brush and knife, and thick painting. I use various medium as like stone dust and modeling paste when I paint the strong and beautiful color change from the traditional play of fire flower of my hometown.
