This painting is of a young farmer, resting beneath a shady tree and overlooking his day's work. Perhaps just finishing plowing the field below for the season's first sowing. The scene as a whole for me had to have a feeling of the sense of accomplishment that one feels when looking over what they toiled for so long on. I hope this painting will bring that feeling forth in the viewers, reminding them a little of what they have worked for themselves and put into perspective the fruits of their labors. This piece comes varnished and is painted with only archival materials and pigments to ensure it will stand the test of time.
