In this oil painting, I've woven my passion for nature's serene and ephemeral beauty into every brushstroke. The tranquility of the water cradling the stoic fallen tree speaks to life's quiet resilience. With impressionistic flair, I've captured an ethereal atmosphere where the whispers of the winds and the gentle lapping of the lake come alive, inviting warmth and contemplative energy into any room. Created in Payne gray monochrome, I bring to you one of the many lakes in Ushuaia in Argentina. It's located on the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, the southernmost tip of South America, nicknamed the “End of the World.” The windswept town, perched on a steep hill, is surrounded by the Martial Mountains and the Beagle Channel. It's the gateway to Antarctica cruises and tours to nearby Isla Yécapasela, known as “Penguin Island” for its penguin colonies. Using oil or acrylic on canvas, paper or wood, I paint landscapes, cityscapes, and surreal-impressionist representations of women. Brightly colored and uplifting, my paintings tell stories that touch the relationship of sentient beings with nature, and the tribulations of women throughout history. Some of these landscapes and cities will disappear due to climate change. I want to leave a legacy of what they used to look like.
