About The Artwork
This little kitty's name is Dicey. Her portrait was painted from a real-time photo of her straddled comfortably across her stuffed rectangular bed. She was a rescue cat for a friend, her eyes are really copper in color and absolutely nobody can convince her to lie in the bed, not on it. Her extremely good nature is most evident by her extended toes and claws. I am told that cats do this as a sign of trust. They generally are very relaxed and it is seen as an invitation to pick her up and cuddle. I am proud this portrait of Dicey's portrait received an award of Meritt from the Essex Water Color Club while on display at the Mayo arts center in Middletown, NJ, Feb of 2016.
