About The Artwork
The main character of this painting is a woman in a transparent dress with the earliest Ukrainian ornament, which served as a Slavic amulet. She harmoniously unites with nature, honoring herself and the traditions of her nation, therefore she gets the opportunity to touch the brightest light and be filled with it. A fern grows behind her, it is a Ukrainian symbol of the energy of life. Her symbolic sign is depicted on the woman's outfit - embroidered shirt. A goldfish is also an important element, it covers the woman with a wave, thus giving a sign that they are one. I'm confident that a person gains the greatest strength in union with nature. With this picture, I want to remind people who they really are and show what can open up for them in the midst of nothingness.

I ussualy combine different techniques in one painting, because I think this way I can better convey the essense and story of the artwork. I have been using brighter colors in my paintings. This is because I see something good in everything around me and I want people to see the world through my eyes. I don't assign my drawings to any particular art form, because it seems to me that they combine several styles. My artwork unite realistic imagery with rough, volume strokes that resemble abstraction. Together it's create an unusual composition that reflects my inner self.
