Painted to celebrate Michael Schumacher winning his sixty-first Grand Prix, his fifth Drivers' World Championship and "A place in History". Magny-Cours, 19th July 2002. This is the original painting that went into a limited edition print run of 395 copies with the publisher Solomon and Whitehead in 2003. Painted using chromacolor acrylic paints on 200 lb watercolour paper the detail and vibrant colours are clear to see. A fitting tribute to a true legend of Formula 1.

I'm a self taught artist who began painting around the age of thirtyfive. After around two years I concentrated on my love of motorsport and most of all motorbikes. Within a short period of time I signed to the art publishing company Solomon and Whitehead and found myself in the prestigious company of David Shepherd OBE, Beryl Cook, Kay Boyce and many other internationally renowned artists. I went on to become the official artist for three motorcycle world champions and had a range of limited edition prints published. After the owner of Solomon and Whitehead retired and finished the company, I put down my brushes and left painting for seven or eight years. Recently, my passion returned and I dusted the paints off and stared at that bare white canvas hoping for inspiration to come. Fortunately it did and I hope you find my works at the very least.... different and at best worth a much closer look. However..... Bikes will always be in my heart, so you can expect the odd one to pop up here and there.
