About The Artwork
The Loneliness of the Depths is a work that unfolds in two faces, both intense and impactful. The painting, literally dense (I worked the texture of each side with putty, giving rigidity to the canvas), reflects the thematic density of the piece. With the painting, I aimed to capture the pain that arises when we feel imprisoned in our own thoughts, a universal experience that everyone faces at some point in life, whether in the face of a career change or the fear of exploring the unknown. This is a solitary feeling because the decision that emerges from this tangle of thoughts is inherently personal and non-transferable. The main face of the painting, full of textures, evokes the image of the sea on stormy days, which is why I named the work 'The Loneliness of the Depths.'
