About The Artwork
Utilizing an upbeat and cheerful color palette, I wanted to create a piece that had a repetitive shape that could be transformed and abstracted. In this case it was a simple circle that was repeated in various colors and tones, painted over, covered up and then layered on once again. The result was sort of an explosion of color and circles. This painting is a 22x30 in. acrylic on stretched canvas. Ships in a cardboard box.

He received his BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit in 2007, and during that time also studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Center for Art and Culture in Aix en Provence, France. His work is bright, playful, and has a certain crude messiness about it. While he explores various themes, his paintings are more about composition, color, contrast, and movement.
