About The Artwork
During my quarantine when we arrived this summer holidays in Italy, I have been painting sitting on my balcony, and I've painted all the different views I had. This is looking from my balcony towards the state road and the mountains of the other side of the Valley of Morgex, in the Valdigne, the valley of the Monte Bianco. It is a pretty view with the vineyards in the background. I love to see the clouds hanging in the mountains. I've used soft pastels and lots of pastel pencils for doing the details.

I am a new artist, pretty much self-taught, with some formal learning at the Blackheath Conservatoire with Simone Willems, now taking another course at the Conservatoire to use as studio time. I've fallen in love with pastels and charcoal, as I find them easy materials to express in paintings. I love the mountains, and want to reflect them in my drawings.
