Painting: Acrylic, Spray Paint, Ink, Marker, Paint on Wood.
This is the main piece of the Amapola Cores Family an original mixed media circular 230 cmØ painting made of MDF board and wood frame. Madre is an eloquent synthesis of the aesthetics of the entire series. For its simplistic composition and the execution; Mother represents the aesthetic essence of the Happy World project because the border between the solid and the pattern, unmistakably seals my style as an artist.
This piece was painted using original natural pigments from the indigenous communities.
I am inspired by the culture of the Huichol people, an indigenous population located in the center of Mexico, mainly in the states of Jalisco and Nayarit. Among many things, the Huicholes are characterized for the use and consumption of Peyote for religious purposes. Happy World Series, deals with the morphology and architecture of the peyote plant, as well as for its effects. At the same time, I re interpreted the aesthetics of the Huichol art, as the result of the effects of peyote. As in all I do; Geometry is still present in my work. Happy World comprises of Painting on latex, canvas, MDF board and Digital; also various types of sculptures, as well as installations.
It is signed on the back.
