Abandoned 1936 Citroen Painting

As an artist and classic car enthusiast I often find myself clambering through bushes, wading through old junkyards full of wrecks and coughing in dusty old barns. They all give me pause, with feelings of nostalgia and sometimes sadness, when I come across what was probably a once-loved and much cherished part of motoring life. I painted this series on old weathered wood which I recycled from an old dog box I found in my back yard. I felt that the wood gave the piece a feeling of age and character.
