Art Description

Painting: Oil, Acrylic on Canvas, Wood.

Spatial history, is a series of autobiographical landscapes, with emotional, personal connection to significant place identity for the Artist.
Absentee pennant was produced by Parr after the death of a much loved family member, and is both a celebration and reflection of time spent with him. An Absentee pennant is a special pennant flown to indicate the absence of a commanding officer, whose flag is still flying. During the painting process she explores the fine line between pure abstraction and figurative recognition, between chance and control using water based oil and acrylic.

The painting is signed on the canvas side and ready to hang.
