About The Artwork

Abstract textured acrylic painting on canvas 100x100x2 cm. Mixed Media on gallery wrapped canvas. The work is ready to hang. No framing required. The sides of the work are painted. The artwork is signed, dated and titled. Original artwork with signed Certificate of Authenticity. Initially, I painted another picture on this canvas. It was a spring tree, but I didn't like it. I was disappointed with the results. At first, I was going to discard the painting and stretch another canvas on the frame. However, I kept working on the picture as it seemed to me that something really nice would come out in the end. Some parts of the picture turned out really well but the composition as a whole did not hold, it looked naive. Thoughts about wasted time did not want to leave me, it seemed they only intensified. I sat down on the balcony and began to monitor my breathing. Gradually I began to calm down and accept the situation. Then I remembered the words of Eckhart Tolle: “Failure lies concealed in every success, and success in every failure.” And just like that I began to think: What kind of success is concealed in this unfortunate picture? And I realized that it would be the easiest to remove the canvas and discard it however, I should try to transform it into a successful one. I just need to spread the colors again and let the presence speak for itself. Listen to your breathing and draw. A black funnel of thoughts appeared on the picture as if by itself, turning into a blooming garden and dissolving into the sky. The picture reminds me of the opposites of the world that attract each other, i.e.,: black - white, light - darkness, anxiety - absolute calm ... Whoever buys this painting, I can attach a photo of this painting before its transformation.

Statement: “I feel my mission is to create art works from inner silence.” - Anastassia Skopp Born in Russia, Anastassia Skopp was raised by her Mom in the city of Saransk where she studied art for 7 years (1985-1992) at the Mordovian Art College named after P.F. Ryabov for children and young people. There she learned about drawing, composition, art of painting and sculpturing from well-known artists and painters (including P.F. Ryabov). Welcome to Anastassia's world of floral paintings, where art and spirituality converge to create a unique and transformative experience. As an artist, she has devoted years to studying spiritual books by Eckhart Tolle, and her art is a reflection of this profound exploration. According to Tolle, flowers serve as messengers from another world, bridging the divide between the physical and the formless. They emit a subtle fragrance that not only pleases the senses but also carries an aroma from the spiritual realm. Anastassia's paintings extend an invitation to immerse oneself in this realm of meditative floral enchantment, where impasto colors and textures intertwine to foster a sense of tranquility and serenity. Her technique draws inspiration from abstract expressionism and modern art, employing a distinctive combination of mixed media that includes undiluted acrylic paint, ink, gel medium, and structure paste. Through these mediums, she crafts three-dimensional flowers and surfaces. She particularly delights in creating impasto abstract pieces, utilizing spatulas, tubes, and fruit knives to achieve a tactile and textured effect. Anastassia's mission is to create art that emanates from inner silence, transmitting this state of being to the viewer. Each painting becomes an oasis of focus and tranquility amidst the tumultuousness of everyday life, offering a moment of stillness and serving as a reminder of the beauty and interconnectedness of all things. Her works have been collected by individuals and art enthusiasts worldwide, spanning from Japan to the USA and Canada.
