ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Abundance is an offshoot of my raku series and incorporates my love of raku pottery, my fascination of Japanese Kanji characters, and my passion in woodworking. I use acrylic texture that resembles raku pottery, thin pieces of wood to form parts of Kanji characters, and deeply saturated color. The stylized Japanese kanji characters in the center of this piece means abundance, wealth, or enrichment. The painting is on 40” x 16" x 1.5" museum-quality gallery wrapped canvas and is wired and ready to hang. It is the perfect size where you need length or for a narrow wall. The cobalt-blue in this piece is stunning!
