About The Artwork

The diptych depicts Kiev railways. The black mass of the train occupies almost the entire space of the canvas, leaving tiny glimpses of textured light that is cut by the lines of wires. On the left side of the painting there is a small piece of the displayed place - a small train plaque found at the real place of this landscape. “The freight car embodies a force capable of demolishing everything in its path. This image is largely associated for me with things and circumstances that can uncontrollably burst into our life and destroy it. The choice of composition with the predominance of black mass with no details only emphasizes the severity of the figure. The small plaque is the only thing that allows departing from artistic images and getting a connection to the real landscape” The painting is signed at the bottom right of the right part of the diptych. Dimensions: left part 60*40, right part 50*40 The artwork is created on a stretched cotton canvas. Painted with acrylic paint, marker and mixed media, acrylic silver paint including.

Hello! I am a 20 y.o contemporary artist from Ukraine. Being fascinated by art since childhood, I realized at a more mature age that it will always be an integral part of my life. My style was formed through years of trying and experimenting with both the subject matter of the works and the materials for their creation, finally forming my style in early 2018, finding a response of the soul in the lines of architecture, the mood of the streets, the history of places and their variability. Since then, most of my work has been related to urbanism, and acrylic is the material of choice because of its quick dry, which allows me to capture the fleeting mood and atmosphere of a particular landscape. All landscapes that are displayed in my paintings are places of Ukraine, mainly Kiev. I can say that art has become a kind of "therapy" and ritual of calmness for me, and I want my audience to feel the same when looking at my artworks, contemplating the restrained gamma and local small details.
