Acropolis of Lindos Rhodes Greece Painting

A painting I made based on a trip I took with my wife to Rhodes. We drove to Lindos which is south of the capital of Rhodes. It was the usual weather, perfect and sunny. After parking the car, I looked up at the magnificent and imposing acropolis that lies on top. What wonders Greece has blessed the world with. There was a walk through whitewashed houses with pebble paved courtyards, narrow alleys and buildings influenced by Byzantine, medieval, Arab and Rhodian architecture. After reaching the top, I was glad to see that you can walk all around inside the temple with few restrictions. We imagined what it might have been like there when it was built. We went back down a beach below. There was no one there, except for some curious donkeys.
