Act 5 Painting

I am professional artist based in Liverpool since gaining my BA (Hon’s) Fine art, painting & drawing at the University of Huddersfield in 2008. I have exhibited in galleries and museums across the UK including Dean Clough Halifax, The Atkinson gallery Southport, National Conservation Centre Liverpool museum. Working in acrylic and oil paint on Arches paper and also on various size canvas. I work in series of paintings, the emphasis is colour in all my paintings. The ongoing ‘The Act’ series creates discussion and questions for the viewers with open narrative scenes. Referencing includes World War images and other figures from history, also this series is inspired by musical theatre. Another current series is ‘Inspired by Yorkshire’ this is a response to my time living and experiencing an artist in residence in Yorkshire.
