Alley in the Christian Quarter of the old city of Jerusalem is an oil painting on canvas. This beautiful painting is based on a small black and white photograph I found in an old book. I felt a strong connection to the image as, in my childhood, I often saw many Arab women carrying trays or baskets on their heads, etching that memory into my mind. I always wondered how the contents didn't spill along the long journey they made. I chose to paint this on a canvas made of coarse jute fabric, giving the image a rough and meaningful texture. I infused vibrant and stunning colors into every aspect of it! It can be framed and hung anywhere allowing all that view it to awe at its tanquil and peaceful depiction of the city. **Please note that framing and hanging material is not included.
