About The Artwork

A stunningly atmospheric, heavily textured impressionistic oil painting of the almond blossom trees in Andalucia, with beautiful goldfinches flying through the landscape. The colours and textures are reminiscent of Van Goghs olive trees series, which was completed in 1889. Whilst also containing traces of Hockney's recent landscape work. In this piece, I have included the goldfinches to describe the characteristics of the Andalucian environment and the life of the wilderness. Signed on the front. Original oil on Canvas (diptych) Each canvas measures 70x100 cm. Total dimensions 140 x 100 cm
