About The Artwork
This paint shows a sunrise at the salt works of Santa Pola, Spain. There is a watchtower known as Tower of Tamarit, built in 1552 by order of the king Felipe II to prevent the Turkish and Berber attacks. The lagoon reflects almost perfectly the sky, and the salt and the algae makes a very peculiar scene. Watercolor on 350 g/m2 paper.
