This painting is a soft-edged, minimalist abstract watercolor in violet/purple pigment. In contrast to the purple washes there is a subtle wide vertical brush stroke in metallic gold going through the center which dissappears at the top. Background of paper has been intentionally quietly textured. Watercolor on 140 lb. Arches paper mounted on a wooden panel. Painting is signed on the back. Wired and ready to hang.

I was born in Riverside, California. I’ve lived and worked in various parts of the United States and in Europe. I currently live in Tennessee. I earned an MFA from North Carolina School of the Arts in Costume Design and began my art career in theater design and production. Later, I studied plein air painting, transitioned out of theater, built a home art studio and and made a commitment to my studio practice. I paint both landscapes and abstract paintings.
