About The Artwork

I recently returned to The Iliad, among other epic poems, and discovered a wealth of scenes worth exploring with my twist to it. The viewer might come to know Amphimachos (or Amphimachus for the Latin) with his gold armor as someone whose pride did nothing to protect him. A mix of gouache and acrylic make for a chaotic interpretation of this particular scene from The Iliad. This work is not framed nor does it include one or hanging hardware.
