Original Fine Artwork. Completed in 2009, using Acrylic on canvas. Measuring 460 cm wide by 90 cm high by 3.8 cm deep (gallery edges). Varnished with picture wire on the back and ready to hang on your wall. Signed bottom right with my abbreviated artist signature. Also signed, dated and titled on the back. This is my idyllic landscape, an imaginary space to go to at some point in the near future. The dream of moving forward in life and accomplishing your goals, expressed as a serene farmland with gently rolling hills and an old barn in the distance – the perfect space to enjoy life and something to strive for. I painted this before I visited France, and this is what I imagined the Bordeaux landscape would look like. Lush and fertile, peaceful and alive with beauty and life. Happily, I have since visited the region and my daydreams of the landscape were very similar to the countryside outside of the vineyards.

New Zealand
I've moved back to New Zealand and am taking a break from art :) Originally from a small town in rural New Zealand, Amy moved to Melbourne in 2008 to carve out a career in fine arts and returned to New Zealand in 2019. She has studied design and architecture which she draws on for artistic concepts and is a self-taught artist. She has been painting since childhood and exhibiting and selling art professionally since 2010. Amy started her professional career painting contemporary abstracted landscapes in acrylic (later incorporating metal leaf). Her landscapes are inspired by the beauty of the natural world, consider the Gaia Hypothesis, and how the local landscape influences its surrounding culture. To say she loves wine and coffee would be an understatement. Her obsession with both has slowly spilled over into her arts practice and prompted her to experiment with subjects and mediums – eventually developing into the coffee and wine art you see today.
