About The Artwork
Entirely executed with a knife, this landscape presents a more figurative and graphic approach than my other achievements. The material effects obtained in the foreground suggest multiple layers of rock visible in places. The water body appears to have been stratified as well, making the graphical connection with the rock. Even the sky is represented in the same rendering, adding an additional density effect to the whole. I wanted to represent a very ancient place but with modern pictorial means to mark a continuity with the present and thus induce a form of indestructibility of nature. https://youtu.be/wXVQH1ecMxU
