About The Artwork

Sequence of titles: ● Androgynous torso ● Presence ● Kiss ● "Whisper and scream" ● Guardian Angel ● Rapture ● In this project each painting has its own sequence of titles. The viewer is offered a fan of viewpoints. The titles lead the contemplator to different modes of perception. This approach marks the metamorphosis of the work and the multiplicity of the image, capable of dialogue and inherent of living nature. ----- “The project “Guardian Angels” is the fourth, successive stage of a long-developed project in the artist’s concept of “Sediment Process”– a visual language whose main aim is to recreate a sense of movement of three-dimensional form by painting means. But not a movement according to Newton’s laws, moving an object in space and time [linear or rotational], but movement in itself, removed from the conventional notion, dissociated from materiality [although based on it]. Elitsa Baramova - Baramó brings out movement as an independent category in painting. … The compositions are only visibly abstract, but materially tangible and dense images. Familiar anatomical, natural forms, figures and elements are implied in many of them (with abstract connections between them).” Dr. Venkova [art critic] ----- The technique is acrylic and pastel on paper in the aesthetics of the "Sediment Process" on which I have been working for several years. It is a concept for visual language, based on mathematical logic and linear perspectives. The expressive units are multiple sections, which mark the horizon in the object itself and the point of view. It focuses on the artistic gesture and the idea of the aesthetics of slow motion – an ethical opportunity to observe the deviation phase and more generally... for understanding and tolerance beyond the ego.
