About The Artwork
Picturesque pop art performance. The main motive of the work is a social theme in its cross-gender aspect: acute, even painful, issues of identification, tolerance and equality. The center of the composition was the imprint of the female body with a provocative invitation to “transfer from the needle of male approval” directly onto the canvas. Around the central object, the rays resembling a halo diverge a rainbow of six colors, referring to LGBT symbols. The artist operates with modern, vibrant, socially charged images that have managed to become an integral part of the global cultural field.
