Marina Battistella, born September 1958 in Palmanova, lives and works in Bagnaria Arsa (Udine). Each piece is a unique creation, in which the careful planning, distinct execution and attention to detail is obvious even to a casual observer. Her debut occurred in hyperrealism but her interest in the material led her towards continuous research in the acquisition of a personal expressive style, characterized by a balanced combination between the reasons of space and those of matter, in a fully recognizable chromatic system. Her artwork stands out for the high thicknesses of the materials used and the large fields of colour. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposiums throughout the European continent. The Artvision program on Slovenian TV dedicated an episode to her. She is represented in the book "Scrivendo d'Arte" 1977-2002 figurative art in Friuli Venezia Giulia and her illustrations can be found in the book "Poete a Nordest"
