About The Artwork
This magnificent example of Australian Angophora towers over my yard and is the inspiration for my series "Looking Up". This third in the series takes a small section of the canopy for a closer look. Viewers can imagine themselves looking up into the canopy of this tree, or imagine the work hanging on their wall like a window to the outside where this tree is in view. Worked in the style of Pochoir, the colours and shapes are simplified and the black outlining gives it a stained glass effect.
