ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Deciding that to paint "Flapper" paintings that were happy... toe tapping jazz, giggly happy and what fun it is to be surrounded with a party in progress! Mighty fine. Researching names that were popular in the twenties era and giving each of the paintings one of the names was such fun. With impressionistic strokes of paint the unrestrained energy and joy of music and dancing breaks through. Now... play old Armstrong jazz or Irving Berlin's "Putting on the Ritz", wiggle-jiggle and just smile.
