Through this work, I put a new meaning of "return to glory." It contains a philosophy that believes that one can experience heaven in the present world without delaying the spiritual experience of heaven (ideal). One day, looking at Notre Dame Cathedral by the Seine River, I felt like I was with them because of the agony and remorse of many writers. Even though the dreamlike visions in the canvas are unrealistic, my paintings are idealized worlds and spaces that comfort myself and each other and ask questions about happiness. In the meantime, we have been looking at what true happiness is and exploring hundreds of paintings and shapes. Sometimes in the dream of utopia, I have been constantly expressing my longing for utopia through my works as well as my hope and frustration. The Antic and Eternal series contains the concerns of the past and the present. If the 16th century Pope had ordered me a Sistine Chapel ceiling or a Pieta statue. In another piece, it also contains stories from the mysterious forest. It creates a passage leading to a secret world, opening a secret door and capturing a moment that shines like a diamond. As such, Jung Sung-won evokes the dream of the viewer and expresses his power to attract viewers and lead them into a world of pure dreams.

Through my paintings, I want to throw questions about a yearning for innocence of childhood, a message of purity and happiness. People don`t care what the rabbit wants for his ideal nor his philosophy while they're watching flowers blooming from rabbit's ears. I just hope they'll have a little smile on their faces and a little warmer heart. And I hope, their heart will be full of happiness even just for a while.
